David Lee Roth

I have enjoyed attending many David Lee Roth concerts since my first one in 1986.  At every show I have been lucky to hang out and meet some very cool DLR fans from all over the world!  Many of these hard core DLR fans are members of the unofficial David Lee Roth mailing list, the DiamondDavidLeeRoth.com forums and the RothArmy

Despite several obstacles, I managed to take a few pictures and video clips at this unique New Year's Eve celebration.  Some tormented VH fans contributed to this review and KNAC.com contributing editor Frank Meyer wrote this  review of the great show filled with surprises during and afterwards!

A while back, David Lee Roth had an official mailing list to provide insider information and to help with organize an annual gathering (not really a convention per-se).  I always enjoy meeting other "hard-core" David Lee Roth fans.  There is still a good unofficial David Lee Roth online mailing list with many cool members.

There were actually four members in this "4 Dudes" lineup (featuring Happenin' Harry with current & past members of the David Lee Roth band including Billy Sheehan, Ray Luzier and Brian Young. Rocking cover songs included "Somebody Get Me a Doctor", "Dance the Night Away", "You Really Got Me" and "Hot For Teacher" 

Less than 2 weeks after the previous "4 Dudes" show (featuring Happenin' Harry with current & past members of the David Lee Roth band including Billy Sheehan, Ray Luzier, Brian Young and Toshi Hiketa) reunited to perform "Somebody Get Me a Doctor", "Hot For Teacher", "D.O.A.", Deep Purple's "Highway Star", "Shyboy", "Dance the Night Away", "On Fire" and "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love"

Nightfall - Scott Griffith Memorial

In the late 80's and early 90's, Ralph Saenz was the singer and lead guitarist in an original Orange County rock band called "Nightfall".  The other guitar player was Scott Griffith, who was among the 98 people who died in that tragic fire during a Great White concert at Rhode Island.  To help raise money for Scott's 13 year old daughter Kacie, members of Nightfall reunited on March 6th, 2003.
