| The Spazmatics (sometimes known as Square Wave or Rocket Science) are a hilariously cool science nerd 80's pop synth new wave dance show. They perform a variety of music by bands including Flock of Seagulls, The Go-Gos, Oingo Boingo, The Cure, INXS, Duran Duran, Berlin, Madonna, Billy Idol and many more great bands that were popular in the 80's! Starting in January 2006 the Los Angeles Spazmatics have been performing every Thursday at the The Canyon @ Agoura Hills, CA. Starting 2009 they perform every Friday @ Marina Del Rey's Waterfront. As of 7/15/06 they are performing every Saturday night @ Long Beach's Shore Ultra Lounge (formerly Sachi) and in 2010 they
began performing every Sunday @ Hollywood's Key
Club. For over 4 years until 10/4/06 they performed every Wednesday @ the Vegas Suncoast Casino. Thursdays starting 9/16/04 they were playing at Club V2O in Long Beach, CA for awhile before moving up a few blocks to The Vault 350 then staring 1/27/05 they moved down a couple blocks away to perform at Club Cohiba. Starting 6/30/05 they performed some Thursdays at the Vegas Suncoast Casino pool party. On Fridays from 6/4/04 - 8/27/04 they had weekly free outdoor shows @ Universal City Walk and from 6/3/05 - 8/26/05 they returned to City Walk for the summer as part of Star 98.7's Totally 80's Friday Nights hosted by Richard Blade! For a long time they were playing Saturdays @ the Vegas Sunset Station Casino and during the middle of 2007 they played Wednesdays at the Las Vegas Canyon Club (inside the 4 Queens Casino). For two years starting 9/2/05 the Spazmatics were performing at the Vegas HOB. For nearly 7 years from 3/9/03 they performed every Sunday night at @ Hollywood's Dragonfly Club. They also sometimes perform special shows at Universal City Walk. (check with the venues for more details) The Spazmatics were created and are owned by PerfectWorldEntertainment.com who have applied the concept to bands based out of many cities. This page is dedicated to the Los Angeles based band which has a yahoo fan group and a MySpace page.
